Our school is taking part in the "Someone Like Me" art competition, which promotes disability awareness among primary school children. For our school entry, we created a project called "Walk In My Shoes." We invited each child to decorate an old shoe at home, imagining it from the perspective of a child with a disability or additional need. The idea is to show what they would like others to see beyond the disability. We had a great response from the Muslim National School children. After all the shoes came in Ms Lyons, Ms Sophia, Ms Mansour and Hamza all worked really hard to create a wonderful display of all the shoes in our school hall. Well done to all the children who took part. Your creativity has really amazed us all.
