Last Friday the school community got together to celebrate the massive contribution that Mr McCarthy has made to the Muslim National School. We had a beautiful assembly with songs, poems and heartfelt words in English, as Gaeilge and in Arabic. Representatives from the staff, the Board of Management and the Parents Association presented gifts to Mr McCarthy and spoke about how much he means to us as a professional and as a friend. We will all be very sad to see Mr McCarthy leave but we wish him all the best in his retirement adventures. We hope he will come back and visit us from time to time. Slán leat Mr McCarthy. A big thanks to Ms Lyons who organised the assembly and to everybody else who worked so hard to make sure we made some great memories for Mr McCarthy.
