On a recent visit to the Chester Beatty Library, Ms. Sofia’s students were fascinated by the elegant Quranic calligraphy and the intricate gold-painted borders of the manuscripts they explored. Inspired by the beauty and craftsmanship of these historic works, the students set about creating their own pieces in a similar style. Their efforts are truly beautiful and are currently on display in the school hall.
Ms. Tully’s class also tried their hand at this detailed and decorative art form, producing wonderful work of their own.
